China and Mynmar disasters

Liam Olsen, 8, of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Steveston (Richmond), B.C. announced to the congregation on May 18 that he would run five kilometers and raise funds in support of the relief effort in China and Myanmar (Burma). He promised to donate all of the money he raised to The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund as part of its response to the relief effort. Within a week, more than $1,600 was pledged, and more is coming in. Liam decided that, since so many people were being so generous, that he would sponsor himself. He took $10 out of his piggy bank and gave it to PWRDF.
