Betty Davidson

Diocese of Yukon

Betty was born in Saskatchewan to Joan and John Posno, missionaries recently returned from China. Her family moved to Toronto and then to the Maritimes where her father was a Presbyterian minister. Betty studied at Acadia University where she met her husband, Dan and obtained Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees. After teaching for two years, they felt called to the Yukon and have been there for 40 years, now living in Dawson City. Music and the growth of Christ’s church are Betty’s passion and she has served in many positions including lay minister and director of the Christmas community choir at St. Pauls. She has been a director of restorative justice in Dawson City and is a member of the Diocese of Yukon Executive Committee.  Betty earned a diploma of School-Librarianship at the University of Victoria and is in her fourth year of the Education for Ministry lay ministry program. Betty has been a PWRDF Diocesan Representative since 2011.
