R. Susan Smandych

R. Susan Smandych is currently a postulant in the Diocese of Rupert’s Land and is delighted to serve as its PWRDF Diocesan Representative. She completed her Master of Divinity at Trinity College at the Toronto School of Theology and has served both at St. Paul’s, Fort Garry and Holy Trinity in downtown Winnipeg. She was born and raised in Saskatchewan and completed degrees in engineering and international development. Prior to discerning a calling to the Priesthood and embarking on theological studies, she worked as a consultant in public and private sectors and as a Program Manager and Director for international NGOs overseeing maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, water and sanitation, and economic empowerment projects implemented in Haiti, Africa and Bangladesh and has traveled to more than 60 countries.
