Attention, cycling fans (and non-cycling fans who want to support a great project)!  There’s a new way you can support PWRDF and get out on your bike at the same time!

PWRDF has joined the Ride for Refuge, a national fundraising program encouraging people to form or join a team and ride in one of 25 locations across Canada to raise funds for the organization of their choice. The ride will take place on October 4, 2014 and teams can sign up to ride 10, 25, 50, or 100km on the day.  It is designed to be very “kid-friendly” so families can ride together.

PWRDF riders will help us raise funds to provide food for work to 12,000 people forced to flee violence in South Sudan  through a partnership with Finn Church Aid (FCA) and the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB).  Thanks to matching funds from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD), every dollar raised by your team will be matched by $4 from the government of Canada!

Our goal is to raise $25,000 through the ride, which will translate into $125,000 of work in South Sudan!
