Lillian Newbery is a journalist with extensive experience as a reporter at the Canadian Press Toronto, CP
Edmonton Bureau, Queen’s Park Gallery, Hamilton Spectator where she was its first female editorial writer, Toronto Star as medical writer including one year as the first and only full time writer on AIDS. As a freelance writer she has written for the United Church of Canada and was the communications coordinator for the Canadian Council of Churches. Lillian has served on numerous boards, including the Anglican Journal, Mississauga Hospital Foundation, and as President of the Wyldewood Road Ratepayers Association and Canadian Science Writers Association. Her church commitments include Rector’s Warden and Advisory Board at St. Peter’s Church, Erindale and coordinating with the Anglican United Refugee Alliance for parish sponsorship and resettlement of two refugee families in Canada.
