As Anglicans across Canada prepare to observe the season of Lent next week, PWRDF would like to draw your attention to a couple of resources to help focus your Lenten reflections on the subject of food and hunger.
- PWRDF’s Lenten Reflections, written by PWRDF Board member Laura Marie Piotrowicz. “This Lent PWRDF invites you to take a few moments each day to reflect upon the meaning behind your fast. We encourage you to slow down and enter into prayerful consideration of the physical and spiritual benefits of fasting. We invite you to join us in these Lenten Reflections, which encourage thought on issues of food security.”
- The Canadian Foodgrains Bank has also produced a series of worship resources for Lent focusing on the theme of water. “This year, we are inviting Canadians to focus on water this Lenten season and to think about the connection between water and hunger.” When donating to CFGB, please remember to list “Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund” as your member designation so that your donation will be credited to the PWRDF equity account with CFGB.
