In 2023, donors to PWRDF gave more than $15,000 to support Kenyan farmers through Anglican Development Services Eastern (ADSE). The funds helped provide solar-powered egg incubators, which are an essential part of ADSE’s extensive training program on poultry management.

Farmers who complete this program will gain knowledge in egg hatching, brooding, feed formulation, and marketing, which will boost their poultry operations significantly. Because of this, farmers are now producing more eggs, their hens are healthier, their mortality rates are lower, their production expenses are lower, and their earnings are higher. Solar-powered incubators offer a sustainable solution, promoting economic growth while reducing environmental impact.

The benefits of this project extend beyond farmers, it enhances food security, economic stability, and livelihoods for the broader Kenyan community. The success in Kenya showcases the potential for sustainable development when compassion meets innovation. By supporting initiatives like this, PWRDF is creating lasting change and improving the lives of farmers and their families.
