Gifts in Will
Make a lasting impact with a gift to PWRDF in your will
Leaving a gift to PWRDF* allows you to leave a larger gift than would be possible during your lifetime, while still retaining control of your assets.
A charitable gift in your will (known as a bequest) may be the biggest gift of your life and has the power to help even more communities around the world. You can leave a gift of securities, cash or even a percentage of your estate. Your estate will receive a charitable tax receipt that can lower or even eliminate estate taxes
Ways you can leave a gift in your will
- Leave a specific dollar amount
- Leave a residual bequest ‒ a share of the remainder of your estate after other needs are met
- Leave a contingent bequest ‒ a share of your estate after your other beneficiaries have passed on
There are many other ways to remember PWRDF in your will, including annuities, bonds, real estate, or life insurance policies which name PWRDF as a beneficiary. To receive more information about Legacy Giving please contact Manita Swati, Senior Advisor of Planned Giving and Major Gifts at [email protected] or (437) 833-6358.
If you choose to leave a Legacy gift to PWRDF we would love to welcome you as a member of our Legacy of Hope Society—a group of generous and passionate donors who, like you, have left a future gift to PWRDF in their estate plans. Thanks to its members, PWRDF can confidently plan for the future of our programs working to increase healthy pregnancies and births, reduce gender inequality, relieve hunger and break the cycle of poverty in the world’s most vulnerable communities.
*Our legal name is The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund. We recommend that you consult us to ensure our correct legal name is represented in your will.
PWRDF strongly recommends you seek the professional services of a lawyer, accountant or financial advisor to ensure that you consider your financial goals, review your tax situation reviewed and tailor your gift to best fit your circumstances.
