Donating during the Canada Post strike

December 6, 2024

By Jacqueline Tingle

As you may be aware, the Canada Post strike has caused disruptions to mail services across the country. We understand that this may impact your ability to send donations by mail.

We want to assure you that there are still ways to support our mission and make a difference in the lives of those we serve. You can:

“We, like all charities, rely on the generosity of our donors to continue our work in Canada and around the world. The needs are great,” says Carolyn Cummins, Director of Fundraising and Supporter Relations. “The postal strike has come at a critical time of year when we would normally receive many donations by cheque. We’re grateful for the understanding and support of our donors, and ask them to consider making their gifts online or by telephone during this time.”

Thank you for your ongoing support. Your generosity enables us to continue our vital work around the world. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

You can also download and share this half-page bulletin insert, which provides more information on how to support your Anglican charities during the postal strike.

Additionally, please note that donations made through our website will allow you to receive your 2024 tax receipt more promptly.

Donating as a parish

You can send your parish donations via our website at pwrdf.org/give-today. Choose “Donate on behalf of a group” and then under “Payment Options” choose bank account. You will be prompted to enter in your banking information that your Treasurer will be able to provide.

Thank you again for your ongoing support.
