Year Three: Climate Action and Health
<return to Creation Care: Climate Action>
Introduction
A healthy planet is integral to healthy people.
Welcome to Year Three of PWRDF’s Education Focus, Creation Care: Climate Action!
In year one of our Creation Care: Climate Action education focus we explored the intersections between climate change and food security. In year two, we focussed on climate change and gender. In the third and final year we will examine the intersections of climate change and health; how planetary and ecosystem health – or lack thereof – directly affect human health.
We love to hear from those who use PWRDF’s resources. Please be in touch with your questions, suggestions, or accounts of how and with whom you used this resource by writing to Suzanne Rumsey, PWRDF’s Public Engagement Program Coordinator at [email protected].
Learning Module 3.1 – Healthy Planet, Healthy People
This is the first of two learning modules for this theme, and it focusses on the Communion Forest initiative of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
We will explore the importance of trees and reforestation by learning from our partners, reflecting biblically, and considering opportunities for action and giving. The module can be used in a group setting, online or in person, as a whole in one session, or in part over a series of shorter sessions. It can also be used by individuals. If you’re leading a session, download this document to guide you and download the presentation slides to share on a screen. You will be required to enter your email address to access this resource.
