“With medical equipment and drugs from AMCC, the number of pregnant mothers delivered here has increased tremendously,” says Frida Mollel, Registered Nurse at Mtina Health Center in Muungano Village. She notes AMCC education sessions have led to an increase in the number of pregnant women and children under five accessing care and the health centre is bursting, “but reduction of maternal death is now visible.”
