Cathy Campbell of Winnipeg is a retired academic and retired Anglican priest with a strong commitment to social justice, sustainable development and food security. She has participated in a PWRDF Connections initiative called the Winnipeg Women’s Resource Centre in Bor, South Sudan. She has studied and written about poverty, hunger and nutrition and wrote Faith as if Food Matters, for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank and Stations of the Banquet: Faith Foundations for Food Justice; Liturgical Press; 2003. Cathy was Rector from 2003-16 at St. Matthew’s, Winnipeg. During her tenure, the facility was redeveloped into the WestEnd Commons: 26 units of affordable housing, a neighbourhood resource centre and a worship centre for seven congregations of various faiths. Cathy has a PhD from Cornell University and was a faculty member at the University of Toronto and Cornell University, and an adjunct at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.
