PWRDF is sending a grant of $20,000 to the Sudanese Development and Relief Agency (SUDRA) to respond to the humanitarian crisis in South Sudan.

Due to recent conflict, over 40,000  civilians have been uprooted from the national capital Juba. Markets, shops, food granaries, stores and homes have been either looted or destroyed, forcing the whole population to run for safety and causing a serious food shortage. Many have sought refuge in churches.

SUDRA is responding to the immediate food needs of 14,000 internally displaced persons, particularly pregnant women and children,  by providing maize flour, beans, cooking oil, and salt.
