Youth Council seeks new Members

The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund’s Youth Council (justgeneration.ca) is looking for youth between the ages of 16 and 30 to represent the Ecclesiastic Provinces of Ontario and Canada (that is, those living in the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland and Labrador)!
Opportunities:

  • Travel! See Canada through attending meetings twice a year in various parts of the country
  • Experience! See and be a part of what youth around the world are doing for social justice
  • Educate! Learn and then teach about the amazing opportunities out there for Anglican youth
  • Network! Meet youth across the country and around the world who share your passion and commitment for social justice issues

Key Functions of a Youth Representative:
1. To act as the voice of the Youth Initiative Network at a National and Global level.

2. To participate in developing and sustaining a network of youth throughout Canada to support and promote the work of PWRDF and the Youth Initiative.

3. Represent the values, ethics, policies, vision and mission of PWRDF within the Anglican Church of Canada, its parishes and dioceses, the Anglican Communion and in the general public.

4. To promote and interpret the work of PWRDF in the youth network and within broader Anglican networks, by organizing workshops and events, circulating material, creating displays and writing articles.

5. Contribute to the growth of the Youth Initiative Network through:
A) Education and advocacy.
B) Initiating and supporting opportunities for learning within the Youth Initiative Network.
C) Supporting stewardship and fundraising through promotion and providing resources.
D) Connecting with members of the Refugee Network; raise awareness about the issues and concerns of Refugees.
