Wilma Ward

Diocese of Qu’Appelle

Wilma Ward was born and raised in a rural community north of Regina. She was an elementary school teacher before marrying and raising two children. She completed her Bachelor of Education degree and returned to teaching at the preschool level.  Wilma and her family have belonged to St. Philip’s in Regina since 1985 and her participation has included: teacher and coordinator of church school; Lay Assistant and Reader; and member of Vestry, Ladies Guild and Altar Guild. Wilma has been the St. Philip’s PWRDF Parish Representative for the past seven years and has come to appreciate the importance and scope of its work. She has helped raise awareness and funds for various projects and disaster appeals, as well as being a member of the refugee committee that sponsored two families to Regina. As diocesan representative, Wilma looks forward to expanding her involvement with PWRDF through connections with other parish and diocesan representatives, and with the national staff.
