Christopher (Chris) Pharo

Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island

Chris is a cradle Anglican and lives in Summerside, PEI. He is a member of the Anglican Parish of St. James where his wife, Catherine, serves as Rector. Chris is a licensed lay reader and has been very involved in the Anglican Cursillo Movement. Chris is from a farming background and is a professional agronomist by training. He has over 30 years of experience working in a variety of fields such as soil and water conservation, agro-forestry and international food marketing. He participated in the PWRDF Sharing Bread course in Sorrento, British Columbia in 2014 and the Learning Exchange to Cuba in March, 2015. This provided Chris with the opportunity to see firsthand the work that PWRDF is supporting in the area of food security. Chris has served as the PWRDF Diocesan Representative for the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island for the past eight years.
