Stories

Indigenous people from Canada and Thailand, linked through PWRDF, share a story together on a laptop.

PWRDF’s vision of a truly just, healthy, and peaceful world is one that can only be accomplished by bringing about change in the lives of everyone involved in its work: the beneficiaries, partners, staff, volunteers, and supporters.  The PWRDF story library is full of stories of transformational change, both from partners around the world and also from Canadians across the country.  This gallery is a collection of our stories from over the years – news stories from the web site, stories produced for Sunday bulletins, excerpts from trip reports and thematic photo essays.

They are not intended as a comprehensive listing of every aspect of the PWRDF program, or an in-depth analysis of issues. Instead they offer a glimpse into the heart and soul of the organization and try to reveal the people behind the programs and the projects. We hope you find the real life examples that you seek of how PWRDF makes a difference in the world and how we are rooted and inspired on a daily basis by faith based action for justice by ordinary people.
