What better time to start making summer plans than in the depths of winter?!  With that in mind, PWRDF is pleased to announce that it is once again offering a course at the Sorrento Centre on the shores of beautiful Shuswap Lake in Central B.C. from July 24-30, 2016.

Now in the final year of its three-year food security campaign (see: fredsays.ca), PWRDF is partnering for the third time with the Sorrento Centre to explore the complex issues of food security and health in the world, in Canada, and in our personal lives. And as PWRDF expands its work on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), we will dialogue with PWRDF partners from Bangladesh involved in both food security and MNCH work, exploring the interconnections between the two, as well as the impacts climate change has on the communities they work with.

Participants will return home with knowledge and skills to be able to respond to food security and health issues locally and globally. This course will include some hands-on learning at the Sorrento Centre Farm, so come prepared to get your hands dirty!

Registration information and a course description can be found here: http://www.sorrento-centre.bc.ca/2016-0724c-sharing-bread-three.html
