Concrete rings used in constructing shallow wells in Tanzania
PWRDF’s Africa program works in partnership with 11 faith-based and secular organizations in Burundi, Kenya, Mozambique and South Africa. These countries were chosen because they are among the poorest nations and/or continue to face the HIV and AIDS pandemic. PWRDF also supports Canadian partners working on advocacy, research and information on African issues.
The Africa Program focuses on preventative health, food security, micro-finance, gender, and HIV and AIDS. Programs are designed to address immediate basic needs and link health with nutrition, food security and education on gender and rights.
