First of all, I'm feeling so sad about the children who lost both their parents. And second, I really related to your comment about compulsive "on timeness". And while this is a good quality to have for the most part, your article reminds me that it is sometimes good to let time happen without us needing to shape it. Sometimes time doesn't need to run in a straight line .. we can bend it when someone needs or wants us to be with us longer than we'd scheduled. Or when a beautiful sunset or profound view calls out to us to connect with ourselves and whatever is in the Great Beyond for an extra minute, an extra hour or even an extra day.
