As aftershocks continue to cause fear and damage in Nepal, PWRDF is providing relief supplies through the ACT Alliance.  Shelter, food, clean water and sanitation, household items, psychosocial support and education are at the top of the list of needs ACT has developed after speaking with experts and communities affected by the quakes.

You can an insert for your Sunday bulletin this week with details on how members of your parish can donate to PWRDF’s relief efforts and also be eligible for the government of Canada’s matching funds.  For every dollar donated by individual Canadians to Nepal earthquake relief, the government of Canada will put a dollar into their Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.  Agencies including PWRDF can apply through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada to access those funds for relief projects in Nepal.
