PWRDF has announced a solidarity grant of $5,000 through the Anglican Diocese of Quebec, which will forward the grant to the Catholic Archdiocese of Sherbrooke to assist with relief efforts in response to the train derailment and explosion in Lac Mégantic, Quebec.  The Anglican Diocese of Quebec is responding to pastoral needs, but has told PWRDF that the emergency response should be sent through the Catholic Archdiocese of Sherbrook.    Bishop Dennis Drainville, the Anglican bishop of Quebec visited Lac Mégantic the day after the explosion, where he offered prayers and solidarity to the Catholic Archdiocese.

Bishop Drainville spoke of “our confidence in our Roman Catholic sisters and brothers, who are able to be much more present on the ground, to determine where help is needed most.”
