Feeling like Indy

OK, so Indiana Jones and I have very little in common.  We both wear hats. But that’s about it.  But yesterday, the image that kept coming to my mind was from the Indiana Jones movie franchise.

Specifically, I was thinking about how they show travel in the movies.  Whenever Indiana and his companions have to go long distances, the scene cuts to a map with a dotted line moving from the starting point to the destination.  Images of airplanes and cars are overlaid as the line shows the travel.

That was yesterday for Jose and I.  We drove from San Luis Acatlan to Acapulco, where we boarded a flight to Mexico City.  We then connected (barely) on another flight to Tuxtla Guttierrez.  Finally, we drove from Tuxtla to San Cristobal, where we will be spending three nights.

Yes, three nights in the same hotel room!  Hurrah!
