Floods and Fires in Canada

PWRDF is monitoring both the flooding of the Assiniboine River in Manitoba and the wildfires in northern Alberta.

Alberta Wild Fire
Residents of Slave Lake, Alberta are waiting to find out if their homes are still standing after a wild fire has razed much of the town, according to CTV News.

Manitoba Floods
While it looks like the latest efforts at relieving pressure on the dikes in Manitoba have been successful, the threat has not fully passed.

PWRDF will continue to monitor the situation in both provinces and will respond as appropriate through the local diocese or other channels.  Donations to the relief efforts can be made by:
