Diocese of Kampala Fights AIDS With Hope

The range of HIV/AIDS services provided through the Diocese of Kampala is a small picture of the ways hope is engendered in many places of people’s lives:

  • High schools and youth centres host diocesan HIV/AIDS workshops;
  • Post-test clubs are formed for people who have received a positive HIV/ AIDS diagnosis;
  • The diocese pays school fees and purchases materials and uniforms for 300 HIV/AIDS orphans;
  • 360 people or family members affected by AIDS receive nutritional support.
  • Pastoral care and referral services are available for families and individuals;
  • 2000 people have been tested in diocesan Volunteer Testing Clubs.
